Tickets are selling well and we're only a month away from the event! We're at 50% above where we were last year at this time, which is great. Last year was a super fun, laid back event in a beautiful and affordable hotel in Mesa. Duel Con itself is really affordable, too, only $45 to attend as many gaming events as you like! That is a smoking hot deal for a GT event.

Daemons (Screamerstar) won both 1st and 2nd. As a matter of fact, they played against each other in the Finals.

I was going to go, but Friday my washing machine broke and my printer broke and I took it as nature telling me to stay home.

No, I didn't. I actually went to a 2250 tournament - The Contest of Champions - in Sacramento. You can find my experiences in the Battle Reports forum, though the actual battles aren't up yet.

And Tyranids got third! It can be done!

Sounds like he had 2x Flyrants, 2x Tervigons, 2x10 gants, Doom, 2 Dakkafexs and Gargoyles, plus 3 Biovores. A very solid list.

Congratz to Gareth Hunt who won it all with his Daemons!

We used a lot of big, LoS blocking terrain in this one and it made a big difference. I think that is the only way to play the game this edition and have it be fair.

Oh and 32 40K players in the Champs, 30 in the Narrative event.

Next year I'll have to participate in the solo event instead of just the duel event, but I still had a blast and I have to say it was a great weekend.

I think it's safe to say though, more people should try that 2v2 event, it was fantastic.

Another great Duel Con Reece thank you guys very much for running it! Im already back to the drawing board with my Orks to see what I can do better!
