Warning - photo quality is not very good. Working on fixing that :(

Hey all - just got back into the hobby and doing what I enjoy almost as much as playing - painting! Not a very good painter, but I do like to put forth some effort and get better as I go.

With that said, any input good or bad, criticism from any all is not just welcomed - it's valued. Never posted a pic of a model I did before so, here it goes.

Not matte sealed yet. Overall pretty satisfied which is big as I'm hard on myself Not very happy with the metallics, and wish I had better photos.

Editing to fix images.

Nice painting really like how the eyes turned out - he looks creepy

Tip:
Use the dakka gallery to upload pictures ... most people are annoyed when they get redirected to a page with a ****load of popups.

Looking pretty good. I would say add some highlights to the white on the front, and the brown on the staff to really make it pop.

I would second the use of this forum's galleries. Feedback wise I suggest you might use a watery application of hightlight color. On broad surfaces it creates a fluid blend from highlight to shadow as the thin paint has a tendency to pool. It takes a little practice and patience because you have to apply the color and then leave it alone (not try to touch it up while it dries). Personally, I'd practice the technique on a test model before applying it to a show piece like this one appears to be. Aside from advice I really like your paint job.

Definitely use the Dakka Gallery. I refuse to click out to another site. The figure looks really good from what I can make out though.

A Heretic may see the truth and seek redemption. He may be forgiven his past and will be absolved in death. A Traitor can never be forgiven. A Traitor will never find peace in this world or the next. There is nothing as wretched or as hated in all the world as a Traitor. - Cardinal Khrysdam, Instructum Absolutio
