The 2013 NOVA open- http://www.novaopen.com/ is underway. Festivities got underway last night with the first round of the 40k invitational, the 40k Narrative event and the 40k Trios tournament. The vendor hall was also open as well as the start of a series of seminars discussing everything from firearms training to making your own display board.

Both the 40k Narrative and the 40k Trios event were bigger than ever and gorgeous armies were on display. Check out:

We are using Torrent of Fire http://www.torrentoffire.com/ to handle scoring for the event and you can see pairings, win-loss record and table assignments as the event moves on.

Highlights from rounds one include all of the American ETC team members winning game one. Neil Gilstrap of the 11th Company, Alex Fennel of numeous GT wins and Blackmoor(Allan Hernandez) all fell in the first round.

It is fine now. Depending on how it updates it puts the win in and updates the score later as who won or lost is more vital for things like 'next round'.

Really awesome stuff guys, it seems like it was a great event.

I think I recognize IMG_4614 as an army belonging to a guy who plays over in Raleigh, NC. Would love to know if that's his, the army is even more impressive up close.
