Hey there Dakka. My 4 man team for next years tournament has decided to do themed armies. We have decided to break our themes into anime, Metal (mostly big hair bands), Halo, and my army shown in pictures below. Bet you can't guess what my theme was.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Rarity (Purple and White) was the first squad we did. I have 3 more full 6 man + attack bike squads to go. I also still have the command squad 3 man strong (bet you can't guess that ones paint scheme), Sammael who is riding a robotic pegasus unicorn (WIP) and my librarian who is pretty generic (Painted as luna when done). Work still needing to be done on regular squads is the marks (putting them behind the ravenwing), The tassles (Only Rarity has atm), Along with display board. I will post more as I finish more of the army.

I have an overwhelming desire to see if those taste as good as they look. They look like marshmellow candies.
I suddenly feel I understand the nids a little better.
Because nothing in the galaxy is black and white, Mankind views the Space Marines as a last resort. The last line. When all else fails. They take up the burden. The noble defenders of Mankind. The last hope.
With finecast you can bypass the washing stage and throw them straight into the bin.
Or cut out the middleman and just flush some money down the toilet.

Hahaha, Bronies! Fair play, I think they look horrendous, but you have to enjoy the bright colours, they'll get plenty of attention at tourneys I'd have thought. Plus people are going to hate being beaten by these. I'd high five you if I could.
Dark angels 70/100 of deathwing, 50/100 ravenwing, 80-100 3rd company
IG +6k pts
and a sampling of different armies
warmachine, 40-50 points of:
protectorate, legion, and convergence armies
Yeah a true ravenwing is not a cheap one to build. I actually did the purchase when my local store was running a buy one get one half off. The army is 6 ravenwing battleboxes, 1 command squad box, sammael, and a regular biker / grey knights box to mod up the librarian.
Life isn't fair. But wouldn't it be worse if Life were fair, and all of the really terrible things that happen to us were because we deserved them?
M. Cole.
May I just chime in as a second for using a skink with one of the scrolls from the raven wing vehicle sprue and a feather in his other hand as a counts as watcher in the dark to represent spike. just because it would be absolutely fabulous.
That watcher in the dark is an amazing idea. I will check the store tonight and see if I can't find a skink to ride on the back of the bike. Will definitely post more as the army becomes more complete
FOR PONY!....eh... THE EMPRAH!
the colours quiet pierce the eye, but I think they could look rather interesting when they're finished.
Oh, and your opponents will weep in horror

"When in deadly danger,
When beset by doubt,
run in little circles,
wave your arms and shout." - Litany of Command (parody)

So I picked up a box of skinks. I now have 24 to make 1 model woo! I may, instead of placing him as a watcher since I don't have any models that can actively take one, Have him on the back of the Twilight Sparkle squads sergeants bike. now the question is how to mount him so he's not standing on the cutie mark...

Little orphans in the snow
With nowhere to call a home
Start their singing, singing
Waiting through the summertime
To thaw your hearts in wintertime
That's why they're singing, singing
Nice technique though, consistant and smooth enough.
