Hi Dakka,

I'm thinking of starting a space wolf army, based around a wolf theme. For it, I'll need a pair of wolf lords on thunderwolves.

I was checking out pricing on the wolf lords on thunderwolves, and finecasts are going to be quite pricey. So, I was thinking that I would kitbash some out of normal Thunderwolf Cavalry. Looking for your thoughts on whether that makes sense, and if so, would appreciate any suggestions as to what extra bits (and if I can get them from a wolf guard terminator box) I'll need to make the model more Wolf Lordy.

I'm not a great modeller, so simple stuff would be appreciated if possible?

Thanks!

To be honest, there are enough bits in the TWC and GH boxes to get something good out of. Use a head of choice from either, and the back piece with the cloak from the GH. In the GH box you get a ton of power weapons and lightning claws ect, so it shouldn't be hard to make them stand out. I'd advise against using terminator bits on PA models, they tend to look too large.
