Here are my first (ever) painted figures, since I just started the hobby. I number them, so I can see the progress (I am sorry that the pictures are not too good and that some figures are not quite visible due to the way I arranged them.... I am really bad at using my camera).
Critique and comments would be very welcome.

Interceptor Squad (figures 1-10)

Terminator Squad (figures 11 -15)

Paladin Squad (figures 16 -19) - the bases on these are basically my newest works since I've conducted experiments before giving the already finished paladins their deserved bases.

Strike Squad (figures 20 -24) - also called: the experiments-on-bases-squad...

Pretty great, especially so for your first batch of figures. Feel proud!

The only criticism I can give (other than get better with your camera ) is to work a bit more on the power blades. They look less worked than the rest of the model.

Good stuff for a first go, and I second the camera practice advice.

Try not to put your minis in front of a window as you did in these shots, as the light will enter from behind and the shadows will be on the side that you want us to see.

Thanks.
I am still experimenting with force weapons... maybe I redo them on occasion as soon as I found a sheme that looks good.
I still have to get used to it...

I like the bases you made for your paladins!

definately good looking army to play with so far, but as you mentioned the quality of your pictures make it hard to judge on your paintjob precisely ^^

Great first try love your painterly style! keep it up!
I'd stay away from portraying lightening on the swords and just stick with solid colour or try to wet blend some colour onto the blade to give it its energy effect but if your really set on lightening maybe try following a simple tutorial: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223101-tutorial-painting-power-weapons/ -or- http://chestofcolors.com/painting-power-weapons-tutorial/
Im sure you can find more on youtube or google if you dont like these.

Thank you all for your kind words. I am working on a librarian right now which I want to build from a terminator set. It will be about done the following week.

And thank you Zognob Gorgoff for the tutorials. I think I shall use one of them.^^
