Hey folks.
In between commisions, I did manage to finish off these few deathwing terminators. I'm contemplating putting them up on e-bay... But before I do, I thought I'd show you some pictures first!
The knights:
with some detail shots of the individual models:
A second unit of the DV terminators that I did. I made a few minor pose changes and swapped the odd bit in from the terminator box, to stop it being too similar:
And finally, an overview shot of the whole thing:
Enjoy!

Beautiful work. The robes are really nicely done and it's not easy to get such a nice bone color.
Though putting the photos in spoiler tags would be nice. (Just kidding )

Do you mind if I ask how you achieved the bone armour?

Ofcourse not. It's airbrush work though... But I'm sure you can get similar effects with spraycans if there's budget constraints.
A coat of VMA medium camo brown (a spraycan of armypainter's leather brown would work just as well).
A zenithal coat of VMA bone (again, same can be achieved with a skeleton bone spraycan.... just be sure to keep a good distance from the model with the spraycan as you spray down).
An oilwash layer of vandycke brown in mineral spirits (applying a coat of glosscoat first will help the wash flow better).
Clean it all up from the flat armorplates with a cuttonbud dipped in some mineral spirits. The great thing about oil, is that's not really permanent untill you cover it in varnish.
And finally, so edge highlighting with pure white. The chipping is made with scorched brown (now called rhinox hide) and pure white.

A Heretic may see the truth and seek redemption. He may be forgiven his past and will be absolved in death. A Traitor can never be forgiven. A Traitor will never find peace in this world or the next.
