Ok I plan on playing necrons and because I can I have a lot of flyers in my list around 4 0r 5 and im wondering how on warth am I supposed to take out enemy anti air??

The models I speak of are the riptide and space marine anti air riflemen dreads and the new rhino variant and any other form of anti air

Also whats the best way to use doom scythes when the enemy has anti air and other aircraft?? like should my scythes focus on the anti air first or the aircraft

Or what units do necrons or any army that has good flyers, have that can reliably take out riptides and other anti air

Asking this is like asking how to deal with anti tank weapons when playing a mech list. Each turn you prioritize the greatest threat to victory (that you have a chance of eliminating). That could be the anti air or it could be a crimson hunter or it could be a 10 man guardsman squad standing on an objective.

Don't be so attatched to your units, you are going to loose some, you are already at an advantage playing cron air because your opponent will have less effective units e.g. blast, non skyfire guys.

Air spam lists are getting weaker and will continue that trend with codex released. Dont spam imo man

"AM are bunch of half human-half robot monkeys who keep tech working by punching it with a wrench And their tech is so sophisticated that you could never get it wrapped it out" thing a LITTLE to seriously. It also goes "Tau tech is so awesome I wish I was Tau and not some stupid Human" thing.

Well I only have 2 night scythes as transports and 2 doom scythes because they are great the rest of my army is on the ground

I'm just asking whats the most effective unit or tactic available to necrons to remove anti air?

I'm going to go with... Shoot them?

Note to the reader: my username is not arrogance. No, my name is taken from the most excellent of commanders: Lord Castellan Creed, of the Imperial Guar- I mean Astra Militarum - who has a special rule known only as "Tactical Genius"... Although nowhere near as awesome as before, it now allows some cool stuff for the Guar- Astra Militarum - player. FEAR ME AND MY TWO WARLORD TRAITS.

For instance, you have some time until your flyers come. So until then you can either shoot or assault the anti air.

My armies:
Eldar
Necron
Chaos Space Marines
Grey Knights
Imperial Knights
Death Guard

The same way Necrons deal with just about everything; 3x Annihilation Barges. Seriously though if have like 4+ Scythes then he can only shoot at so many. Necron Breakfast Brigade does well for a reason.

Easy answer? Dakka the $%*^ out of whatever anti air he has. Seriously, with crons your rate of fire is enough by itself to overcome pretty much anything.

Rifleman dread? Glance the thing to death with scythes/annihilation barges. The shear number of shots combined with auto glance on 6 guarantees you will wipe out his measly hull points fairly quickly.

New SM AA tank? See above

Other fliers? See above

My brother plays the Cron Airforce list with nothing on the ground but a ton of wraiths. I have literally not been able to deal with this list as a DA player at all. Ive tried taking my own fliers, ADL's, Rifle Dreads, ML Dev's with flak, everything I can think of. Ive tried rolling an all DW list and ignoring the flying croissants, Ive tried rolling all RW with dakka banner and shroud for cover saves, Ive tried an all green wing blob with Azrael, libby for rerolls, ADL line, Dakka banner etc etc.

The list simply has TOO much firepower for me to deal with, and thats what you need to capitalize on. Focus all my attention on the anni barges? Great get counterassaulted by wraiths and dakka'd to death by croissants. Focus points and attention on AA to take out the scythes? Great get dakka'd to death by barges and assaulted by wraiths. Concentrate on CC'ing or shooting the wraiths to death and ignore air? Great get dakka'd to death by barges and scythes.

I'm bo no means the greatest player in the world, but I'm not a gak player either, and I simply can not deal with this least as a dark angels player.

Now my IG Air Cav list..... thats a different story. Any list that can outnumber your flyer spam is gonna give you trouble, period.

But, to wrap it up, as necrons your firepower needs to be, and is going to be, too redundant to really sweat losing a few barges, a few flyers, etc.
