Hello Dakka,
I recently decided to get into infinity with a friend and chose the PanOceania faction mainly because I think the models look amazing!
We played a few intro games using lists provided with the quick start rules and now I've attempted to produce my own 200 point list.
I have no idea what to look for so I was wondering if some infinity experts could provide some assistance or just to point me in the right direction when it comes to list building.

Without further ago.....the list.

KNIGHT OF THE HOLY SEPULCHRE (Lieutenant) - Spitfire, Pistol, EXP CC weapon
HEXA - Multi-Sniper Rifle, Pistol, Electric Pulse
BAGH-MARI - Combi Rifle, Light Shotgun, Pistol, Knife
BAGH-MARI - Combi Rifle, Light Shotgun, Pistol, Knife
AQUILA - Multi - Rifle, Pistol, Shock CC weapon

This comes in a 199 points with 3.5 SWC so its all legal as far as I can tell

Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Hi,
Welcome to the game. The list is legal as far as I can see BUT you got only 5 minis at 200 points and that means you won´t get a lot of orders every round. In Infinity you should try to get about 8-10 models for this point value. If you got some Fusiliers, Order Sergeants or Regulars (all line infantry) you should take some of them to fill your order pool. When we started the game we all took the starters (about 120-150 points) with 6 minis what´s a good point to start with. I can understand using the Aquila and Sepulchre, they are great models and good fighters but they are very pricy, too. Perhaps start with some basic troopers and 1-2 specialists. This would be my advise.

Ahh...a question: You wrote you used the Quick start rules, didn´t you. It´s a good thing to sart with the basic rules. The game got tones of special rules. Play with the basics and add something special to it every game (secound game hacking, Camo, Combat jumping, mines, etc.).

Thanks for the reply

yeah I see what your saying about the orders, its sooooo easy to get shiny model syndrome with infinity though, there just so amazing!!

I'll take a look at taking maybe the knight out and adding a few more line troopers
If it helps with advice btw I will be primarily facing Yu Jing

Also as a side note does anyone know of any good PanO painting guides, I've had a search but can't seem to find anything solid and I rely want to do this miniatures justice

There aren't any hard and fast "official" schemes - it's not like you can get blasted for not having the right shade of *octarine* on your figures because unit X should be painted Y.

I use blue-white-grey on my PanO because I like the scheme, and it was how I painted them BEFORE I got the rulebook, not because it is "they way they are supposed to be".

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

It's not so much that I'm looking for the definitive paint scheme, because that doesn't bother me, I'm just looking a something that can be done relatively easily while still looking decent enough for such amazing models.

I know they are pretty rare, probably has something to do with the fact that all the models are very different even within armies.
I know Beasts Of War did a few but you have to be a backstage member to view them usually
