Hey guys, I'm a bit confused about the MULTI HMG rule.

It seems to say that it can simultaneously choose between firing two shots with AP or EXP ammo, or one shot with AP or EXP ammo. I obviously must have missed something because that doesn't make sense.

Is it 4 shots of normal, 2 shots of AP *or* EXP, or 1 shot with AP + EXP?

I'm also a bit confused about rules such as Martial Arts which are at different levels. If I have say, Martial Arts (Lv.4), do I get 1-3 as well? Are they all in effect at the same time, or do I pick one of the 4 Martial Arts abilities to apply at any given moment?

Finally, can you place conditions on your Orders? For instance, "my guy attempts to capture the objective - if he succeeds he will move to this spot, if he fails he will stay where he is" or must it always be "my guy will attempt to capture the objective, then he moves to this spot regardless of if it succeeds"?

On the Multi HMG, it's as you said - B2 with AP or EXP, or B1 with AP+EXP.
On the skills, you definitely get the lower levels of MA. In almost all cases (actually by default) having one level of a skill gives you the lower levels as well. So with MA, you'd have 4 MA skills, and they'd be in use when you decide to use them. So you could decide not to use L4 and use L3 instead, if you wanted to.

Am I able to use levels 1-4 all at once? Attack from behind without being detected (4), and bypass +3 to ARM (1) simultaneously - or just one at a time?

Yes the effects are cumulative, you can combine all effects at the same time if you wish (and TBH, you will use them most of the time).

Yes.. if you have high level MA you are bad-ass


Regarding your first final question, you have to state your intended moves at the start with the unit. Also with ARO - for example you see a camo token coming towards you, you can choose to hold back the ARO for if the unit reveals (and then shoot). However, if the unit remains as a camo token (and doesn't reveal to shoot for instance) the order is wasted.

Basically I guess it indicates the soldiers know something is there, and are watching like hawks waiting for an attack to come their way so they can return fire, as opposed to using their scanners/taking a closer look (as represented by the 'discover' order).

Yes, the multi-ammo is as you said.

4 normal, 2 AP or Exp (multi-hmg), or 1 AP+EXP.

MA is definitely one of those levelled skills where you get all lower levels included and they all work.

You get all the benefits of all the skills.
Taking the f2f roll away from them helps, too (first strike).
It's hard enough to hit them when they are dodging - if they sit still for you, it's sooo much easier (with first strike, you hit them and if they survive, THEN they can ARO.
