Been Around the Block

2 out of 7 done. I'd like some critiques etc. before I finish up the rest. I tried to convey glowing eyes on the guy on the right, and 2 more have plasma guns that I will attempt OSL with as well. This was my first attempt at this technique...

I like the marine itself, the colour choice and combination. Looks sick  Also the lighting around the eyes looks good for me.
The only critique I have are the weapons: I'd have used two colows to get a contrast, e.g. painted that pump under the bolter's barrel in a wood color or the magazine in black/metal.

The lighting of the camera sort of takes away from the OSL, but it does look okay. Additionally, I would've used two colors for the guns as well.

^+1^ OSL looks good from what I can see. You've got a nice blend going on with the goggles. Need a better pic of him though. And yes, dual colors on the gun will make it pop more. Death Guard usually accent their guns in red. The knife has a nice rusted look to it, just needs some blood. So yeah. Red. Needs more red
Also, just took a second look at the detail on the muscle fibers in the joints of the armor. Geat job on brining those out!

Thanks. Part of it is the camera. The weapons are covered in rust pigments,actually. Maybe I overdid it? I painted them in Leadbelcher, washed them with 50/50 Nuln Oil and Agrax Earthshade. Perhaps for the rest of them I shouldn't cover the whole weapon?? I'll post an update soon--and these models with better pictures. Thanks for the feedback

They look good. Just paint some metal colours in some of the spots on the gun like the mag and barrel. Otherwise the only thing to criticize would be the amount of injustice the camera is doing. But they look good. Well done
