Subject: 1-year long campaign - ideas anyone?

Irked Necron Immortal
|
Basically, me and a good friend of mine will be staying in one place for 6-9 months together. I am starting up Necrons and he runs Imperial Guards. I thought it would be extremely fun to run a long-term campaign against each other. We will most likely be playing once every 1-2 weeks if not more on various point levels and we are planning to increase our army size as the year progresses.
I need ideas on where to start with campaigns. I would like to include lots of different missions and point levels for the games.
Anybody with fair game scenarios / missions / fluff they would like to present, I will note them down and attempt to use them. Afterall, with so many games we will run out of ideas for sure.
Thanks dakka.

Do you have the big hardback copy of the rules or do you have the small paperback version that comes with DV?
If you have the Big Rule Book, Page 380 gives some advice on running campaigns.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

I would make you're own rather than one from a book, more personal. But its gonna be a year so got a lot of time to play whatever you choose.
