Ok, so I will assume most of you know that all tactical terminators are by default equipped with power-fists. They strike at I1 but do double strength and AP 2. That is all well and good. But suppose you are fighting an I3 target with rending, or an ap2 weapon. They have a decent chance of killing you first.

So that's why I think that terminators should have a close combat weapon. But I also don't think the powerfist should give it an extra attack. Thoughts?

Interesting side note: the termies in DV actually have CCW's

How many units do you know have I3 and Rending? Also, you should know to keep your Termies away from mass-Ap2, and even then they still have to hit, wound, and get past your Invuln save.

Wait, are you proposing you give terminators the option to strike at S4, I4, AP-?

I don't think I can think of a reasonable/realistic scenario in which this would be of any real benefit over the fist.
