Hey guys,

I've been reading around about the 'impending' white scars supplement. While the release date seems a little sketchy - suggested to be october - i'm very curious about what it may include. Just done a little light research and turned up nothing.

Anyone have any ideas?

Good thread, I posted this in another thread:

I am actually wondering what the White Scars-supplement could possible give a Bike-army that it doesn't already have.
Biker-Devastators?

i actually read that thread lol. The disturbing lack of rumors for something that's suppose to be 'iminent' makes me think the WS supplement might not exist. But i'm clinging to hope

It's not just the lack of rumours, it's that I cannot even imagine what a supplement could bring.
The book has everything they could ever need and they are already looking like one of the strongest armies!

-Maybe some AA-bikes?
-Devastator-Bikes?
-Something that allows them to swap out the TL-Boltgun?
-A special Warlord Trait Table?
-Or maybe an entire non-Biker tactic for them?

I can pretty much tell you now what it'll have:
-White Scar-specific warlord traits
-New White Scar relics
-New Planetstrike and Cities of Death strategems
-Maybe a meh new rule or 2
These will be 2 pages. The rest of the book will be fluff and a couple scenarios for $40.

generally they put 3 rules, one being a FOC change. Basing myself on Farsight and Black Legion supplements, as Iyanden was a bit crude.

I believe they'll get bikes as troops even without bike cap/CM/khan, some kind of buyable upgrade to bike or command squads if khan is your warlord, and something to land speeders, aircraft or dedicated transports. the later one I can see for a RG supplement too.

IIRC, GW said that no new miniature will come from supplements. Everything an army gets are in their codex and FW books. maybe a recast of Khan, but I dunno they will do that.

Actually yes, Bikes as troops will be in there too. That way you aren't forced to take a Captain/Chapter Master in every White Scars list. They might also put in a thing about not being able to ally with Space Marines with the White Scars chapter tactics because it'd just be silly if White Scars could ally with themselves.

My memory tells me that "models to go with the supplement" was actually their goal.

See that makes no sense at all, I mean remember the stock issues of the initial Tau Codex release? I can almost guarentee that if they release a new XV8 kit with the hard copy of the Farsight supplement, it will be the Tau Codex x 10.

I wouldn't expect much from a WS supplement. Being chapter specific I would expect it to be more like alter game times and deployment maps like we got with the Dark angels thing, Very fluffy but not very useful.

I suppose Devastator Attack Bikes (1-5, Heavy Support) would be too much to hope for. I really hope something gets moved from Fast to Elite or Heavy.
