Hi all, this is the Stormraven/taxi service that accompanies my Honour Guard + Commander. It was originally airbrushed but that went balls up so I had to go over it again with a brush by hand. I think it turned out ok but vehicles are not my strong point. Usually I am too afraid to do freehand but had to give it a go as it was so plain without it! Thanks for looking.

I love the base, it really creates a sense of depth (or height if you will). The flaming salamandar logo is brilliant, and I like how you've painted the glass.

I also love the scale on the base and may need to still that idea.

Thank you for the kind words, I was unsure how it would turn out when I decided to do freehand and actually a little worried I would mess it up!

Yeah, the Aquila is freehand too, I did a rough outline in a dark grey so it was feint, then built up gradually the details towards a white outline. The only thing I can't claim as my own is the FW drake icon next to the cockpit.

My intention was to get a Stormeagle originally but as the budget didn't allow for it, so I got the raven instead. However, I was shocked to find my brother got me a Thunderhawk for my birthday not long ago, so I will definitely try and paint it in a similar style to this seeing as the style was well received. Thanks all for the feedback.

Oh, and I have to get my brother a PS4 now in return.... ($50 a fortnight into the piggy)

The black areas are unfinished, right? That's not how you paint black.

Awesome Stormraven! The base adds so much character to the model

Quarterdime: It doesn't seem to show in the pics, but the black seems to be highlighted with a dark grey. It makes it really subtle, which goes great with the green!
