I've kitbashed some Boar Boyz using Mantic Gore Riders (cheap, better boars) with GW heads and arms (look better). While they're going to be used as Boar Riders for Fantasy and Warbikers for standard play, I'm also going to use them in a Campaign I've got going.
I've got ten such riders, one Avatars of War Boarboss (ie, BoarNob), and a boar-mounted shaman. As this is campaign play it doesn't need to be super balanced, but I would appreciate some help in pricing these dudes.
Snakebites Boarboyz Mob
WS: 4, BS: 2, S: 3, T: 4, W: 1, I: 2, A: 2(3), Ld: 7, Sv: 6+
Mob Size: 5-20 Models
Wargear: Slugga, Choppa, Warboar Warboar
In those times or those societies without the high powered engines needed for Warbikes, speed addicted Orks get by on simple Warboars. Creatures as big, ugly, and smelly as themselves, Warboars have long been a part of Ork society on many worlds.
Any Ork riding a Warboar becomes Cavalry. In addition, the Warboar itself generates a Stink Cloud and can attack in close combat. The Warboar's close combat attacks are resolved in every regard as a simple +1 to the Attacks of the rider, as well as granting him the Hammer of Wrath special rule. The Stink Cloud, a noxious mixture of flatulence and dust that accompanies any propa sized mob of Boarboyz, gives the unit a 5+ cover save and the effects of Assault Grenades in close combat. Upgrades:
~ Nob Leader: Upgrade one Boarboy to a BoarNob for +10pts, the Boarboyz Nob may trade his Slugga and Choppa for a Big Choppa for +5 points
~ Shaman: One Boarboy can be upgraded to a Boar Rider Shaman for +55 points. He counts in all regards as a Weirdboy except that he is a unit character as opposed to an Independent Character, and is mounted on a Warboar
~ Warpaint: If the unit contains a Boar Rider Shaman, the entire mob may recieve Lucky Warpaint for +X points per model. This confers a 6+ invulnerable save.
~ Huntaz: The entire mob can be upgraded to Boarboy Huntaz for X points per model. This gives the unit Monster Hunters and Poisoned Weapons (5+)
~ Trakkaz: In addition, the entire mob can be upgraded to Boarboy Trakkaz for X points per model. They gain the Boarboy Trakkaz special rule as detailed below. This can be taken alongside Boarboy Huntaz
~ Netters: The entire unit may be upgraded with Grot Netters for X points per model. See the Grot Netters entry below.
Boarboy Trakkaz
Snakebites have traditionally made great use of ambush techniques, sending fast moving mobs of Boarboyz to flank the enemy. Boarboy Trakkaz gain the Outflank and Scout special rules. In addition, whenever an enemy non-flier comes in from reserves, you may roll 1d6 for each Boarboyz mob in reserve. On a 4+, the Boarboy Trakkaz immediately follow it onto the board, appearing within 6" of the point at which the unit entered the board and recieving a free out-of-turn move
Grot Netters
While the boyz do all the 'propa' hunting, the Gretchin have their role to play as well. Their dirty kunnin and their tiny, grasping hands make them ideal for ensnaring foes with nets as the Boarboyz ride past.
Any Boarboyz mob containing Grot Netters is able to make special Net Attacks as they charge. For each Boarboy in the unit, the enemy unit takes an Initiative test on majority Initiative (6 always fails). For each failed test the nearest unensnared enemy model is "ensnared" in the nets, reducing their Initiative value to 1 for this assault phase. For each roll of a "1", a Boarboy of the owning players choice is instead "ensnared" suffering the same effect.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

Point Cost. I would price them 5 points cheaper than Bike. they don't get the awesome Dakkagun, but they can take a non-HQ Weirdboy, which frankly is pretty awesome by itself.
So the cost would be 20 per model
20 for the Warboar upgrade on the Warboss. I think if he take the Boar, all boars can be taken as Troops and he loses the unit of Nobs or Meganobs as Troops.
Warpaint 5 points each
Huntaz 5 points each
Trakkaz 10 points each
Grot Nettaz 3 points each - though I think they don't need to arm the whole unit and the failure goes to the model with the Netta.
The Warboar Warboss also has to buy the upgrades.
My 2 cents

I'd make them somewhere between 14-18. They loose extra T dakkaguns 4+ cover and armoursave. That's more than 5 points. Same for warboar for warboss. Wapraint should be 2 points since it's only 6+ after all.

Yeah, I think they're more akin to Slugga boys than they are Warbikers

I think the best parallel is with Stormboyz. Boarboys are maybe slightly better (less mobile, but +1 attack and a cover save), although stormboyz are overpriced at the moment, so I'd go with around 12-15 points each.
I don't think that a 6++ save is worth much, especially on a unit which has it's own cover save. 2 points at most, but I'd say 1 point would be more reasonable.
Giving them scout should be worth maybe 2-3 points each.
Netters are probably in the 1-3 point range as well.

1. Go to FLGS on a 40K game night.
2. Announce to no one in particular "I have over 10,000 points of Space Marines".
3. Sit back and watch as some 30-ish Neckbeard who still lives with his parents not only disputes your claim, but goes on to describe his 30,000 points of Blood Angels and how he has been playing since Rogue Trader days... And yet you will have never seen him either play 40K or that army.
4. From here, you have several options. Continue the conversation, or just end it. Either way, I guarantee you will waste 1+ hour of your life talking to this guy. Have fun!

Huh? I just made these up. You can't discuss the GW stuff in too greater detail or their lawyers etc etc
The above Boarboy thing is just entirely made from scratch.
I've also been thinking of changing Netters for an improved Stink Cloud. So Netters gets dropped, and now Stink Cloud incorporates some kind of Initiative reducing effect.
Right now thinking "any enemy model with an INT value of greater than 2 is reduced to 2 when in base to base contact with a model with a Stink Cloud". Simpler than Netters and useful against the Dark Eldar that are my arch nemesis. Though maybe thats overpowered?
