Soooo...

Here's what I'm trying to go for.

And basically I've got the sprues that came with the DV templates, which are tiberium green. I want to mount it onto the small blast marker or a 60mm base and have a light source....how would one go about doing it?

For the Lion and Terra!

Because nothing in the galaxy is black and white, Mankind views the Space Marines as a last resort. The last line. When all else fails. They take up the burden. The noble defenders of Mankind. The last hope.

With finecast you can bypass the washing stage and throw them straight into the bin.

Or cut out the middleman and just flush some money down the toilet.

I am totally thinking of Command and Conquer right now! I would suggest sculpting some split or erupted ground out of Sculpy, making sure you leave a cavity for the battery pack and LED. Modify the bottom of the base or cut the middle out entirely for access and a pressure switch.

There is no art more beautiful or diverse than the art of Death.

The hardest thing to fit is the battery. If you need anything more than 1 watch battery then you will need some kind of scenery piece, or stick several bases together to get the right depth.

I would recommend putting some oil drums or crates on the bae as well to hide tge battery.

For the tiberium, you probably need to trim down a few sprue extensions and glue them together in the middle leaving a cavity for the led

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

beartree made a nice objective marker which looks a lot like you want, from templates sprues, so it's definitely possible. The fluro nature of the sprues also makes them almost glow in strong light, which will help a lot. Pop a light or a an led under the centre crystal and you should be good to go .

The thing is I have zero idea of the electrical components required. Is there someplace that sells kits?

You need a battery, and led, a resistor and a switch and some wire to connect them with. (probably soldering iron too)
Maplins do all that (although are not the cheapest)

Check out Power Play gaming for some LED kits

http://poweredplay.net/

They finished a kickstarter a few months ago, and not sure if they are fully up and running, but worth checking out if you don't want to build your own kit.
