Kind of random, and im not trying to skip away from a codex buy, but ive got a few sets of DV laying about and had some ideas.
I want to start up a small chaos army now, but ive had a few ideas for winged chosen.
Just wanted a quick yay or nay to thier ability to take jump packs please.

Well, you can take raptors, which are a lot like chosen. They lose a couple of weapon slots, but they both gain the ability to fly AND are cheaper.

Your one-stop website for batreps, articles, and assorted goodies about the men of Folera: Foleran First Imperial Archives. Read Dakka's favorite narrative battle report series The Hand of the King. Also, check out my commission work, and my terrain.

But they can't be taken as troops. If someone wants a jump pack army he should use the BA codex or Farsight enclave .

I simply wanted an elite unit kitted out with a range of CC weapons and jump packs, that was all

Didnt want a jump army or to take them as troops.

Ideas done with now anyway

Nope, you can't take them.

This is Chaos Space Marines codex. You aren't allowed to feel like you have variety and a plethora of options. That's the new Space Marine dex or the Eldar dex that you're thinking of.

Nope. For a bunch of anarchic, warband-forming, scavenging supersoldiers with very few constraints on the manner in which they can fight, CSM have a pretty inflexible book.

Maybe a squad of Raptors with a jumppack Lord attached?

CSM/Daemon Party

Tau could do nice counts as chosen with jet packs. 2-3 jump pack marines per suit base to represent 2-3 chosen with plasma or other weapons , joined by Belkhor with two plasma cannons from the forge fiend to represent a suit Commander with two plasma guns , chaos icons could be doing counts as for the various sub systems tau get.

And if one calls them black legion and uses farsight enclave for some of them will be troops like BL chosen.
Fire warriors could be traitor IG with volkite or demonic weapons to represent the higher strenght tau guns have.
Riptides could be done with demon prince model with added hammer head gun . Wings for pack , shield made out of LR door to explain the inv .

Cool army. With good rules.
