The article doesn't explicitly say that they were discussing *any* of Kant's ideas - just that they were discussing Kant. Since the dispute took place in Russia, perhaps one of the men insinuated that Kant was gay and the other viewed it as illegal propaganda and decided to take the law into his own hands?
