On the basis that it would be counts-as anyway, why not. On an aesthetic fluff point of view, ratlings are short, but really rather dumpy, while 15mm scale stuff will probably look really rather weedy in comparison to 40k stuff.

Yeah, official Ratling models are about 20mm tall.
I've never seen a heroic scale ww2 miniature, it'd just look a bit naff without lots of work.
15mm is more snotling sized than space dwarf size.
