Not sure if anyone is clear on this type of tourney, it is something we do at our LGS.

Basically troops and heavy support are scoring units. But, if you must name one of your heavies as the Iron Duke. Kill it and get a bonus point to your score. Board is 4 by 4' and has 3 objectives. One in each deployment zone and one in the middle. Your score is tallied at the end of each game turn.

It is important to kill the opponents heavy ( even more if it is something like a Leman Russ or Vindicator) and you need to be able to start holding objectives early.

The list:

Tigurius

10- Tac Squad- Combi-melta, Melta, MM with Drop Pod

10- Tac Squad- Combi-melta, Melta, MM with Drop Pod

Landspeeder MM/MM

Landspeeder MM/AC

7- Devastators- 2x ML, 2x LC with Drop Pod

Aegis Defense Line

The idea here is to deploy the Devastators with Tigurius in the defense line on the objective in my zone. I will then drop the two Tac squads on the other two objectives on my Turn 1. Leaving the empty Drop Pod in reserve to arrive later ( only included to get the two pod drop on turn one.) Landspeeders will deploy or reserve based on opponent and targets.

I can use Tactical Doctrine on turn 1 to help my Tac squads to Kill the enemies Iron Duke, armor, or other high threat targets. Unless the opponent is an assault based army, then I would instead use the Devastator doctrine. I can still reroll the snap shot for the MM and be better prepared for the enemy charging in next turn.

Units don't have to survive until the end ( except the Devs.) Though the longer they can hold the better. I'm hoping to actually make the enemy home objective holder flee the board due to mass cas if possible. ( I did this one time before with Telion and some snipers, picked off the leader and a few guys and the leadership failed by the leaders number.)

I've got about two weeks to get the list final, so any thoughts are welcome. ( Tigurius will be going for Prescience for sure, debating on his other two powers. I like the other Div powers, but also Biomancy is pretty good to have.) I would like to keep Tiggy also, granting rerolls to the Devs will be really important to keep enemy from getting to my objective and helping to relieve the Tac Squads.
