Hello!

I was looking to pick up a few of the new SM releases and I was wondering if they were new sprues or the old ones that had some pretty bad mold lines.

Any feedback would be appreciated :-)

They are completely new.

All around in everything that GW has been producing they have become MUCH MUCH better at eliminating mold lines. They still exist but their placement of them has made it easier to remove them or hide them. I havent seen the new tac box sprues but I can say im 99% sure it is MUCH better.

Haven't seen the new tac sprues up close, but the vanguard kit is very nice; negligible flash and barely visible mold lines.

I've just finished building and painting one of the new tac boxes, and did one of the old ones last week, and the difference between the two in terms of mold lines and crispness is actually astonishing. The new kits are almost mold-line-free, and the detail is very sharp. You also get a shed-load of options, a really neat DIY combi-weapon, and some really cool parts like a hand holding a combat blade and a reloading option.

Something like include the new grav gun, power weapon, power fist, and omni-combi weapon?

I really, really hate the new option of trying to stick hands to arms, and making the arms sit right.

The amount of glue and green stuff I had to use to make the arms look normal was unreal. I am probably alone in this issue, but my god I was screaming at some points of assembling them.

Other than that the kit is beautiful. Lots of new backpack and chest options, new weapon customisations and a lot more poseable.

8.5/10, needs more heavy weapons.

Devastator box contains more weapons than there are figures, so extra ones can be given to Tacs.

The new kits are really top notch. I bought the Tac, Stern and Van boxes and have had great fun kitbashing them.
