Hello All. I am starting to collect and paint up my UM equivalent chapter. I have been going back and forth between a Drop Pod List w/ heavy support backup (Devs/Thunderfire), a pure Pod list and this list. This list is a Razorback/Pod approach.

Captain w Artificer Armour, Storm Shield, Burning Blade - 180
Command Squad w 4x Plasma Gun, Apothecary, Razorback - 230

6 man Tact Squad w Plasma Gun, CombiPlas, Razorback - 164
6 man Tact Squad w Plasma Gun, CombiPlas, Razorback- 164
6 man Tact Squad w Plasma Gun, CombiPlas, Razorback- 164
6 man Tact Squad w Melta Gun, CombiMelta, Razorback - 159
6 man Tact Squad w Melta Gun, CombiMelta, Razorback - 159

Ironclad w Hurricane Bolter/Seismic Hammer w Melta in Drop Pod w/ Deathwind Launcher - 180
Ironclad w Hurricane Bolter/Seismic Hammer w Melta in Drop Pod w/ Deathwind Launcher - 180
7 man Sternguard w/ 3 CombiMelta, 2 Heavy Flamer in Drop Pod - 249

Total - 1829

Currently have 21 points to tinker with. The idea will be to send the 2 Ironclads down on turn 1. Deathwinds target infantry, Ironclads go for the armour. The idea is that the Ironclads presence in the opponents deployment zone will give the Razorbacks more time to go across the field and deploy as needed. The Captain goes with the Command squad. Command squad can lay down extreme amounts of plasma, Captain will deal with the combats (I tinkered around with the idea of trying to slip the relic storm shield on him for greater durability). I am up in the air whether to go with Apothecary, 5th plasma or the Company Champion to help out the Capt.
The Sternguard will usually be the Drop Pod that is held to allow the Dreads to soak up fire. They do provide some flexibility if needed first. For games where I go second, the Razors will be deployed to maximize cover for turn 1 (and hope for some nightfighting).

Would love to have some feedback as I think this is an excellent codex! I am committed to using the UM chapter tactics, but everything else is fair game!

He's great, I used him yesterday to great affect with his IG allies.

By putting him in this list, should I remove a Tact Squad/Razorback, or change the Captain/Command team?
Do you think the Razorback/3 Pod system to be effective?

I would recommend removing a few tacticals in favour of some tactical dreadnought Armour. And podding the tacticals (great with tiggy). Also, razorbacks are overpriced for what they would bring. Most other slightly competitive armies would laugh as they blew away your overpriced tanks. Tigurius Is just steller with his ML 3 and twillinked reserves, making him a viable choice if you do decide to "pod it up". Also I'm pretty sure apothecaries can take special weapons

TL;DR
Razorbacks suck. Get some (more) pods. and tigurius!
