Hey there everyone, I have a question about potentially using the new centurion model and converting to a wolf lord. How can I use this in the game but? I like the look of the model, I like the concept of the leader standing out in the company but I can't work out how I can make him for. I don't want to make the suit an Allie or anything. Any advice on how I can make a wolf lord in centurion armor work in my army. Cheers

Maybe replace the drills with the laws from SW dreads.

Not when the centurion suit is 1.7x the size of TDA, it isn't.

You're going to need to put a lot more work into it than that for it to look right (and for others to appreciate it instead of rolling their eyes). For starters, given the model size is so different you'll want to make the model otherwise as WYSIWYG as possible, so those drills need to come *off*. You'll also need to put on the weapons he'll actually be using.

Secondly, there's a lot of standard Imperial iconography to get rid. This will require some deft knife cuts and/or lots and lots of filing. This will leave the model quite bare, so you'll need some wolfy spare parts on hand to make it stand out.

I sincerely hope you can pull this off because I think done right, this'd look great. However, it's quite an ambitious thing to tackle and I suspect from the fact that you've had to ask if its feasible that you're not yet ready for it. I wouldn't normally try and put people off from converting but Centurions are SO expensive to lose if you screw it up.

Yeah I understand how to convert it that's not the problem and neither is the money. My local GW had a fella who had basically converted centurions to fit into his SW army as allies and they were poorly painted and converted and still looked like they fit in no dramas. I dare say I won't be the last person to try putting some of those awesome looking models into there army. My question was more or less how to make them fit into an army legally as a wolf lord. Using it as a wolf lord with terminator armour will be fine.

In which case - please post up pics when you're done

I would think a Wolf Lord in Termie armour would be best - larger Wolves are by no means unheard of, after all Arjac is bigger than your average Termie. Perhaps with runic armour and the Belt of Russ to show how much tougher to kill he is (and not a bad idea on a Lord anyway). I suppose given the base size that you could also run them as counts-as Thunderwolves, but you'd probably need to model in some way of making them look a lot quicker on their feet for it to look right.

Thanks for your suggestion mate I appreciate it. My army is a bit heretic to say the least. I've built a home brew wolf chapter. All comprising of the right selections to make it legal on the tabletop. Once the wolf lord conversion is complete and I play it on field I will negotiate with my opponent and ensure that it gets no special consideration for the armour it is merely just for asthetics. I have a wolf lord ATM but it doesn't even stand out, hence why I would like to use the centurion suit
