The thing I love about this list is that the marker drones have a 2 up cover save. People are always like "oh ignore the riptides, focus on the marker lights and then his shooting is terrible." Try taking out the marker lights when they have a 2 up save. Bwa ha ha ha

The key to strategy is not to choose a path to victory, but to choose so that all paths lead to a victory.

War is beautiful because it establishes man’s dominion over the subjugated machinery by means of gas masks, terrifying megaphones, flame throwers, and small tanks. War is beautiful because it initiates the dreamt-of metalization of the human body. War is beautiful because it enriches a flowering meadow with the fiery orchids of machine guns. War is beautiful because it combines the gunfire, the cannonades, the cease-fire, the scents, and the stench of putrefaction into a symphony.

Looks like a fairly standard farsight bomb list.

There are a few things that need to be addressed though:

- Riptide was given talisman? Give it to your shas'o so he can have an invulnerable save (riptide already has a 5++ from his shield) otherwise 1 str8 precision shot with low AP will knock him out.
- Fusion blades are generally a waste of points, for 20 pts less you can just have 2 fusion blasters. If you find yourself in an assault the shas'o has 4 str5 attacks which are enough to tear through tarpits thrown at you. The shas'o will die regardless to a dedicated CC unit so keep him cheap.

Now for the farsight bomb itself.

- I hope everything has target lock or you'll run into some major issues with 3 types of weapons in the squad - fusion, plasma and marker lights (most people don't mix the marker lights in the bomb so only fusion blasters need the target lock).
- I'm assuming your "support" suit has command and control node, multisprectrum suite, and drone controller.
- Another issue is that all the marker lights in your army are in 1 squad. They must all shoot at the same target with only BS3. It means you'll be putting an average of 4 marker light counters on "1" target per turn. - I'm not a huge ML users myself, but I try to spread out the one's I do use so I can hit multiple targets with them.

Lastly a warning - I'm not sure if you have ever tried out a farsight bomb list, but they can easily be beaten since your army relies on the one team. Helldrakes will ruin your day before you can shoot them down. Other Tau will strip that 2+ cover and pick you apart. It is incredibly easy to assault a farsight bomb - saw a DE player assault with witches to tank the overwatch and then he performed a multi-assault with his inubi/archon who shredded farsight and his bodyguards in 1 turn.

I don't believe you can take Shadowsun with FE Allies. There is a stipulation that Shadowsun or Aun'Va cannot be present in a Farsight Enclave's Army. With no clear definition for "army" there is a strong argument against you doing so, so much say that I would say you are RAW illegal.

Disagree.

Farsight and shadowsun can coexist in the main codex. The farsight one I don't believe restricts her aside from being unavailable in the farsight book.

Take farsight and his army, then ally in shadowsun and hers. Since they are BB they can join each others units, etc.

Unless there is something specific I'm missing.

Thank you for the advice, I appreciate it, to answer some of your points:

- Yes all the suits have target locks and the support suit is loaded as you said (plus vector thrusters for hit and run), used a shorthand there, I should have been more clear.
- I can definitly see all the MLs being in 1 squad being a problem (BTW they'd get twin linked from the C&C node, so I would get a few more maarks per turn.) However, Riptides don't need them quite as much as other parts of the army, and the gun drones on the second squad will have bs 5, so hopefully I can spread them out enough to get by. But just to be safe, I will put some in with the crisis suit troops squad.
- I have played the farsight bomb list a few times, so I know the basics, this is the first time I've added in enclaves allies. I actually don't find assault a big threat, between supporting fire and hit and run. I'm more worried about my riptides getting assaulted, because I actually put them in front of the bomb as mobile cover. I am worried about helldrakes, but fortunately I don't think anybody fields them in my area. I am hoping that the earth casted riptide plus twin ltwin linked fusion shots from the bomb will get me through any air threat I do face. As for other tau, I'll just have to focus down the ML's and pray.

Alrighty, that takes care of most of my concerns. I'm glad you have some experience too because I've seen a few disheartened players after their farsight list performed deepstrike in the middle of their opponent, popped a transport, a tank, killed a squad, and then was annihilated next turn by everything left over.

Enjoy
