I am attempting to get a glaze look with GW ard'coat...and it appeared to work..but over 24 hours the ard'coat lost its shine....did I use it wrong? or is the product just bad?

Thanks

Other advice would be how to make easy water effects for small puddles without buying a chemistry kit.

Vallejo water effects is best for puddles water gore etc. You can color it with paint and it will dry transparent.

I personally living in the UK had to mail order it, because I find Vallejo anything to be difficult to come by, a hobby modelling store may have it but an online vendor 9 times out of 10 will have it stocked.

Any brush on gloss varnish will work. I use Future myself. It is called Klear in the UK I beleive.

Its likely just grease or dust particles in the air getting at them. It happens to mine all the tiny, particularly my Nids who have glossy carapaces and if I leave them out they dull slightly. Try giving them a wipe with a dusting cloth or tissue.

Just to share. The Army Painter Dip works well in this case...it stays shiny and is brown like the mud.
