I have consistant trouble handling the Soul Grinder as an Ork player. I usually try to truck deploy power klaws against it. Any other thoughts?

Your only real option is either mass (I mean MASS) rokkits or Loota's. Other then that power Klaws seem like your best/only choice. The best delivery system is of course biker nobs, but remember that he strikes first with strength 10 hits, so they might not be the best idea.

I think to war bosses with claws are a must anymore. Bikes on them to boot let's you go where needed and kill the big daddies

A Grinder is never going to kill its way out of a Boyz Mob. Just tarpit it somewhere.

A hidden power klaw in a squad of boys should do the trick.

Ram the Soul Grinder in the Movement phase with a Battlewagon or a Mekboy Junka with a Deffrolla and a Boarding Plank loaded with a PK Nob or Warboss. If the SG does not Death or Glory, against AV13 and a 5++ Invul the D6 S10 hits will cause ~.39 glancing and ~1.17 penetrating hits removing ~1.56 Hull Points. If the SG is not outright destroyed, the BW will stop in contact with the SG and you can assault it with the PK in the Assault phase. A nob will cause ~.3 glances and ~.59 pens to take off ~.89 more hull points for a total of ~2.45. Once again, if the pens don't outright kill the SG, the loss of hull points could very well take it out. A Warboss with a S10 PK and 5 or 6 attacks is even more likely to wreck the SG.

If the SG does DoG, the single S10+2D6 penetrating hit will probably blow up the BW or Junka, but the 2D6 S10 hits from the Deffrolla will cause ~.78 glances and ~2.33 pens removing ~3.11 hull points. There is an excellent chance that the Deffrolla will kill the SG before the dismbarked Orks can assault and kill it.

Soulgrinder can't issuea challenge so a hidden klaw should work well in a group of boys.

A single Nob charging a Soul Grinder with 4 WS4 S9 attacks against WS3 AV13 with a 5++ Invul will only cause ~.3 glances and ~.59 pens. Those numbers decrease in subsequent rounds of combat when the Nob only has 3 attacks at S8. Not very good odds.

Nob Bikerz with a Warboss and one or two PK Nobz would definitely ruin his day. The SG would swing first with 4 WS3 S10 attacks against a WS4/5 T5 unit with 5++ Cybork bodies and FNP. THE SG will only cause ~1.67 wounds. You could take the hits on regular Nob and lose ~1.11 Nobz. Or you could take them all on the T6 Warboss and only take ~.75 wounds. Since these are averages, I recommend taking all but 2 wounds on chumps before having your Warboss tank the rest. When the WB and other PK Nobz swing at I1, you will pretty much guarantee a dead SG.

Soul Grinders are a nightmare for most Orks - especially now that Challenges can neuter the claw. I know the Grinder cannot issue a challenge - but it is likely the Grinder will be use to eat ovewatch or pin a unit while other Daemons move in to slaughter the rest.

With AV 13 Lootas are not a great option - even 45 shots is 2 glances on average. Not to mention they want to be shooting those Flesh Hounds or Seekers that are getting ready to annihilate a Boyz mob.

Really a Warboss with a Klaw - put him on a Bike and let him run around with a Boyz mob so the Nob can snag any challenges while he goes after the Armor. Otherwise, ram it with a Deffrolla Battlewagon if they are silly enough to let that happen.
