No need to spend time or money going to film school anymore, you can just use the handy Film School Thesis Statement Generator and feel like you already wasted all that time sleeping in class!

My thesis for Judge Dredd: Through the poetic use of tableaux, Judge Dredd masks socioeconomic ambivalence in American society.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

The juxtaposition of poverty and nature in Loud Guns and Fast Cars subjugates the post-war crisis of masculinity.

Well, that really hit the nail on the head.

Through the strategic use of narrative ellipses, Eraserhead masks passive and active gaze.

Well, I don't know if I agree with that, but it certainly sounds like something someone who could sit through Eraserhead to the end and enjoy it might try to say.

The juxtaposition of poverty and nature in Some like it hot colonizes nativist arguments of the early-twentieth century.

Ultramarines: A Warhammer 40,000 Movie asks telling questions of scopophilic tendencies of the viewer through its conflicting duality of progress and humanity.

Through the prevalance of foreground obstructions, Ultramarines: A Warhammer 40,000 Movie contains and then breaches the achievement of a state of wholeness.

Through the strategic use of narrative ellipses, Ultramarines: A Warhammer 40,000 Movie subverts the plight of the migrant worker in post-war America.

I've written papers (and read papers) that sound like the ones it is generating, which is why I liked it to begin with; I saw it as more as a self-referential wink then anything mean spirited. I wrote a thesis on Masculine Representation and the use of Male Gaze in Spaghetti Westerns and it's socio-political effect on the US film industry in the 70's. It was a barn burner, to be sure.

Most of these sound like the theses that I got from my 'Writing for College' students I taught during my student teaching. Like these kids had heard a few terms and just were looking for reasons to use them.

I got quite the laugh of out of this

The political use of voiceover in Chicken Wings for Jesus calls into question suburban notions of containment.

The binarism of light and racism in I Can't Believe I Ate The Whole Thing demystifies the subjugation of the individual in the face of the primacy of television.

Through the expressionistic play between sound and history, There's a Snake in My Boots launches visual salvos against the pre-war crisis of masculinity.

This, along the existential essay generator, definitely tops my list of reasons why I like the Interwebz. Well, you know, right under naked women and lolcats.

So much exalted!

Edit : they even somewhat fit! : "Equilibrium delegitimizes the rise of currency and the loss of utopia through its expressionistic play between sound and history.''

2nd Edit : okay, well, they don't necessarily fit that well : ''The use of telling jump cuts in Rocky questions nativist arguments of the early-twentieth century.''

Also, seriously, $60K for film school? These are the moments when I'm reminded why I'm so happy to live here.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
