Howdy folks,
Long time lurker who finally decided to officially join the forum so that I might better participate in debate, discussion, and general tomfoolery. A wee bit about me:
Home is a dusty patch in the deserts of New Mexico where the majority of folks work in the dairy industry or the oil and gas business.
I work as a Technical Writer for a software development company. As such, I'm usually in front of a computer.
40k is my chance to get outside and shoot some dice with some good people.
I've been enamored with the hobby since '97 and have recently started a brand new Imperial Guard army after several years' hiatus.
I'm an open book, a friendly guy, and always up for a debate/chat/fishing story/etc.
So, if you're ever in the southeast corner of Nuevo Mexico, give me a holler and you can run my Imperial Guard into the ground. I plan on posting a progress post at some point; feedback from other readers is a great motivator to finish up my projects.
And, because I love the hobby, here's this:
Mr Bruno
WS BS S T W I A LD SV
3 3 3 3 1 3 1 8 3
Wargear: Well of Mostly Useless Facts, Dictionary of Discord, and Metal Horns
Special Rules: Stubborn, Crusader, Useless Facts, Grammarian, and Metalhead
Useless Facts: Armed with an English and History degree and a voracious reading appetite, Mr Bruno knows an awful lot about things most people don't really care for or understand. To represent this, at the start of your turn, Mr Bruno may improve one stat by D6. Declare the stat before rolling. Improve the stat by the number on the D6. However, if a 1 is rolled, the stat is reduced to 1 for the remainder of the turn. No one likes a know-it-all, smartass.
Grammarian: Bookish and monkish, Mr Bruno doesn't take kindly to poor grammar or editing skills. During the Forum stage, if the enemy makes an easily avoidable grammatical or syntax error, Mr Bruno gains the Rage, Hammer of Wrath, and Hatred special rules for the remainder of the post.
Metalhead: A fan of all things heavy, dark, and angry, Mr Bruno is at home in a mosh pit. His close combat attacks have the Shred special rule and he gains Feel No Pain 4+ in any assault. Noise Marines best watch themselves.
