Ok, I think that this list is pretty well rounded, but it suffers from some old conceptions that we might need to talk about.
First: I love wyches. They were my go to back in 3rd and 4th, but in this edition they've been reduced to 3 real functions. They are effective to take out upsettingly bad assault units (Fire Warrios, Guardsmen), they can tarpit small elite squads (not to kill them, mind you, just to tarpit them) or
MCs of sorts AND they are good haywire assassins. Outside of that, the days of them going toe to toe with enemy
HQ deathstars are behind them. There's a reason that they've been moved from Elites to Troops. I'd take them in a squad of 5 with haywires and assault anything with an
AV. They're murder on Drop Pods, Dreadnaughts and LandRaiders alike. Ok, with wyche weapons they need to serve your purpose. If you want them tarpitting, give them shardnets. If you want them slicing and dicing
GEQs, you should go with Razorflails. The math actually shows that unless you roll a 5 or 6, the Hydra gauntlets are less effective than Razorflails.
Also, drop the trophies.
They should not be where you deploy the Duke. The Duke should go with your Kabalites. I say should, but his rules say that he must be deployed with them.
Similar to wyches, I love Incubi with a passion, but they are a tremendous points sink. I'd honestly say that you are far better off taking Trueborn with Blasters.
AT heaven wrapped in a crunchy candy AI shell. MVP's almost every game.
Happy hunting.
