Here's the first part of my seer council on jetbike. I'm still very much new at painting warhammer, this being my 2nd full unit. I chose to go with Lugganath style colours with a little bit of my own flair, they seem to be very striking. The orange and blue is metallic oh-so-very slightly, which may not be captured in the photos. I did not edge highlight the orange as it changes colour at different angle. I tried my hand at painting gems, which i'm not too good at, I'm a scale modeller at heart so tiny brush painting detail is not so easy. The reaver weapons have been removed and IMAY add some shuriken guns from the guardians kit. The riders will be complete once I have all the parts. The hull of the bike has very subtle edge highlight and the seat is left black as the riders cape will cover it. Most of these models are airbrushed

I hope you enjoy, please give any feedback, or ask any questions!

The model is actually matte, but the shine you see is the metallic fleck!

Those bikes look amazing. I have a box of them sitting on my shelf to paint up but I know I will not do as good of a job as you did. I really like your bases. How did you do them?

Thanks for the comments guys!

@Dr_Grimm - the bases are my first attempt at scenic bases.. well most of warhammer for me is a first.

The base itself is the basic flying base included in the model kit, the big rocks are HO scale model train trackbed made of cork. The pressed cork for the train beds is much thicker than the stuff I was reading in basing tutorials, but I think it worked out in this case because these are flying models. On regular units I think this cork is much too thick, but what do I know =)

The smaller rocks are just "woodland scenics large rocks", after placing the cork I added the smaller rocks. After I set all that up, I filled up all the extra space with "woodland scenics sand". Finally the grass tufts are "Armypainter Wasteland tufts".

Hope that helps!

Looking very good. I'd consider painting the exaust vents differently, they seem a little unfinished.
