Hi there, I've only assembled one Land Raider before and I am attempting to put my second one together. My first land raider's TL Lascannons were tricky, one worked and the other did not, as in they do not really stay together and when I turn them they kind of go in separate directions. I was wondering if there are any tricks to getting the lascannons to fit with the shield that goes over them, the lascannons have a pip or raised edge on the top but they don't seem to stay with the shield. Here is a picture of the parts in question (they're on on the other parts yet, just took the picture of the lascannons and shield). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is what I do.

1. Don't worry about making the Lascannons moveable in an up & down direction. Glue them directly to the support stem. This will allow you to glue the top shield on and keep everything in place.

2. Do not glue the support stem into the sponson top/bottom. This will allow you to rotate the Lascannons left and right all you want without causing pieces to separate.

After staring at these parts for more than an hour, I think you may be correct. If the shield was a little thicker it could be pinned, but not that thin. I think that gluing it so that it does not move up and down is the correct way to proceed. Thanks for the help! I appreciate it.

I magnetized my weapons, and used magnets to attach the shield to the weapons, didn't line up the best but I am still able to move them left and right as well as up and down. I prefer that over static weapons, just my opinion though.

Use Revel glue - the one with the hollow needle applicator - to better control what you're actually gluing.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!
