can a heldrake do a vector strike and still shoot? the rules say a vector strike counts as shooting one weapon, so since the heldrake only has one shooting weapon i would think it cannot do both. is this correct?

Remember that flyers can fire up to 4 weapons. Vector striking counts as firing one weapon, so a helldrake us limited to only firing 3 weapons. However as it only has one weapon anyway this is rather irrelevant

Vector Strike counts as firing a weapon but does not actually use any of the model's weapons. It has it's own profile. So a helldrake can vector strike (using the listed profile) and then fire it's baleflamer (or autocannon) since that's a separate weapon and the helldrake can fire weapons per turn (1 vector strike and 1 other, with 2 "wasted")

Does it say anything about having to fire snap shots?

For whom? The unit that gets hit by the Vector Strike? The flier? Snap shots are not mentioned anywhere in the vector strike rules?

I think someone doesn't have a BRB Automatically Appended Next Post: Vector Strike is on page 43 in BRB, page 52 of the CSM codex for even more specifics from "meteoric descent"
