I'm not a huge fluff buff when it comes to Warhammer, so maybe somebody more knowledgeable can help me out here.
I'm looking to convert some allied Kroot for my Eldar army but want to make a more fitting creature. What I'm wondering is, is there any indigenous wildlife associated with the Eldar, be that on their home planets before the fall or even aboard one of the many craftworlds?
Any help would be great,
Thanks.
GM.

Exodites ride Cold Ones (like from WHFB). I just read the Path of the Renegade, in which Exodites are mentioned as riding both giant pterosaurs and carnosaurs. Use some Lizardmen beasties
Cold Ones can be allied in as Kroot Knarloc riders (using FW rules). A Carnosaur can use the rules for the Greater Knarloc. Could be awesome.

Exodites have many forms of dragons and wildlife at their disposal. I would probably go with a lizard, cat, or bird.
Craft world eldar basically have no wildlife at all as they live on space ships exclusively. They do have cats as pets which seem to be able to get bob cat size. They could also have some semi sentient wraithbone constructs.(I have no idea what that would look like or how sentient that would be) The purpose of kroot is what CWE consider Tau, Humans, and Orks for...just manipulate them to do it.
Dark eldar could use anything and everything for this. They could even stitch an ork together to a wombat and call it a wombork. As long as it is in pain it is good. DE are just like that.

Craftworld Eldar have whole forest domes complete with wildlife IIRC?

I am pretty sure that the domes are mostly crystal trees? IIRC
I have also never seen any pictures of CW domes with anything but grinx.

Hmm maybe - I thought that was the area associated with the Seers and where the Soul Stones are implanted?
Just checked Iyanden - p22 the "Forests of Silence were filled with the flora of lond dead worlds" no mention of fauna but can't see why some would not be present if the Eldar wanted it?

Hmm, perhaps. Though I always pictured it as a bubble in the darkness of the void with trees of light with flora surrounding them. Sort of a garden for the dead. Also this gives a somewhat mirror image of the garden of nurgle with Isha trapped within.
Could be either way though. I still have not heard of animals in it and I cannot imagine eldar allowing animal feces on their infinity circuit living ship. For that matter has anyone thought that defecating in a craftworld is defecating on your ancestors?

I see it as kind of like the forest and garden domes from silent running but on a much more massive scale.
