The main thing that is holding me back from ordering all my daemons models is what to use for a keeper of secrets.

I don't want finecrap, if it was good it wouldn't be nicknamed finecrap.

My lord of change / Fateweaver will be modeled by an Ultraforge "the vrock", so something "similar" in size would be best.

The Forgeworld KOS, is a nice model, not my favorite but I would use it if it wasn't $200, so cheaper than this please and also can use as a guide to what i'm looking for.

If anyone can suggest a model that would fall into one or more of the categories above I would be grateful.

the pleasure daemon has wings and looks stupid without them imo. Could be an interesting female DP though.

A thick, chunky model like the GW keeper of secrets is probably one of the better ways for finecast to work. It's the super detail and skinny weapon bits where it turns to swiss cheese, and older models like greater daemons are big, relatively simple shapes that are hard to mess up. Finecast also means it's not gonna fall apart if you stare at it too hard.

Of course, the greater daemons are showing their age pretty bad. A good head swap would improve the keeper quite a bit though.

Is there a specific style you have in mind? Because there are a few different models out there that could be used as a keeper that aren't in GW style like this for example: http://www.mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_kth_gor_wld_002_000

How about the serpent thingy off the new Dark Elves warmachine?
I've seen serpent tails on older GW slanneshi champions.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Looking at the Mierce model suggested, it's wuite similar.
You could then sell the statue as an Elder Avatar & the witch elves as witch elves.

I personally prefer plastic too and built one from the warshrine kit for chaos fantasy. The big mutant (the one in front) has a torso which is about right in size. The legs i used are from the current plastic hive tyrant. Bits i bought off ebay and im very happy with the result. I can take a few pics if you like?

Do you mean the gorebeast chariot in the lords & heroes section?
I for one would like to see it.

A barbie doll with no clothes [it's the right size] would be a funny proxy.

hmm i like the forgeworld style, not a huge fan of the spikes, i might just breakdown and buy it... its just hard to think about.

I didnt really like any of the models here, there is one I would use I think might have been linked but its too small.

One of Andrea's Warlord Saga range, they're 54mm, so could work as a GD (I've a couple earmarked as DPs which they are probably slightly better sized for, but a built up base or something equally creative could work)

I dont mind that model, not too daemony but would still work. A little small though, its tough to get all aspects right. Would be a better daemon prince, but no wings..
