Best ever? I dont know about that. Seems ok but I dont think its the best.

You have no way to deal with flyers other than hive guard.

I know you have a bunch of giants but they get owned by poison, grav, etc.

You will also struggle vs armies like eldar who just out out range you.

I would recommend a flying hive tyrant or something else to put on the presure.

Drop all squads down to 10 man Tgants, and buy every Tervigon Onslaught. There's a reason Tervigons are better now in 6th than they were in 5th, and it isn't because you keep the book powers. Then, drop one Hive Guard and give Toxin to every Tervigon. Finally, bribe the TO to not pair you with DEldar or SWolves. Enjoy!

Some Tomb World in some galaxy by that one thing in that one place (or Minnesota for nosy people)

I think it would be worth it to drop all the gants down to ten and drop a hive guard to get three powers on all those tervigons for the biomancy goodness

Solid, you can push the other army off of objectives, but you struggle to hurt heavy armour.

Also, when a single tervigon dies, you suffer pretty badly from spontaneous combustion on your termies.

So, objectives is ok, until someone plays smart and only shoots the tervigons, killing off a section of your army with it.

KP games, you auto-lose.
People can simply shoot the small units to death for quick and easy points.

Wouldnt be the 1st time ive played a tervigon spam list and just templated gaunts for easy KP or picked off the tervigons for an easy win.

2 tervigons are solid.
3 start to give points away from time to time.
4+ just pretty much hand over an easy win as they do more harm than good.

1st game you play against an IG plate list or salamander flame spam list will show you the issues.
Purifier spam will also be fun to play against.

Just pray you play a small, elite army like deathwing, with no LR's so you can keep then pinned in combat all game, and hope its objectives.

As a nid and de player I would laugh at this.

As someone else rightly said, poison weapons are going to chew you up. My Dark Eldar list could wipe them all out in 1 turn with some decent rolls.

You need more distration units. Gargoyles 20x would do it.

Also if you are planning on deep striking take mawlocs, you can burrow turn 1 and land everything right next to the enemy turn 2.

Also, devourer gaunts in spores and 2 squads of zoans in spores would be my other suggestion.

Well If you play a space wolf player hopefully you space your tervigons out good or JAWS will kill at least 2-3 if not positioned correctly. I played a friend and 1 rune priest in a pod (with some hunters as a squad to soak up wounds) managed to kill 3 tervigons with Jaws, also killed some hive guard and termagaunts that also got caught in the way.

Doesn't every unit caught in the path receive a DtW roll? Once the path is denied, it can't go further to effect units down its path can it?

Only one DtW per power. That's it.

It's not the size of the blade, it's how you use it.

The first unit hit makes a DtW and if they fail then anyone else hit by the beam basically dies. If the SW player is smart he will stay 12" away so the tervigon doesnt get shadow in the warp. But guess what that means you better space out a lot, which means the SW's player can pick off your tervigons more easily. Also A SW's player would usually run 2 rune priest. So without proper spacing this army could drop very fast to SW's.
