So, after a couple years out of the hobby I've found myself back in again and with a whole new challenge. I was always more of a collector/painter rather than gamer, so I always went for models that caught my eye rather than anything competitive or anything like that.

Anyway, I'm doing an Elysian IG army (using standard Codex: IG rules - I just like the models) with an allied Space Marine chapter. Raven Guard was obviously the perfect choice for the allied chapter so their paint scheme is nailed down.

The problem is the Elysians. I just cannot for the life of me decide on a scheme for them. I must have opened up every thread/gallery link on here and other sites and still can't figure out what I want to do with them. I love the models, I just don't know how to paint them. I've had all kinds of ideas of what I might paint them up as but nothing sticks. I was considering doing them like the ISA in Killzone, and I also thought about doing them in a kind of Police scheme with blues and greys (based off some I saw on here). I did some test models but they aren't making me happy so I'm just at a total loss.

Anyone want to chime in with any schemes they think would look good on Elysians? I've got a few of them set aside as testers so I can easily do some based on suggestions. They would be fighting on a desert/dirt world alongside their Raven Guard allies so that could have an influence on the scheme. Maybe one that compliments the Raven Guard's own scheme? I'm open to any real suggestions here. I also tried finding Elysian concept art but all I came across was Cadian 8th colours of tan and green and I was thinking of something different to that to help further set them apart from standard Cadians.

I never normally seek assistance with things like this, but I really am at a total loss. I love the models and really want to get going on them.

Well as they as a unit concept are drop troops I don't think hey would worry too much about blending in, screaming in from the sky doesn't lend itself to stealth. so I think aside from the stealth or infiltrators you could really go for a bright pop on them.Almost the opposite of raven guard.

Something like all white armor, with a dust or sand colored lining/wash In the cracks. Then black fatigues, and details for the model in light blue or sky blue, ex. The goggle/glasses.
