I have been running through all the best options for a HQ units for the new space marines a biker chapter masters seems a great one.

I was think of giving him a storm shield for more protection but can't really think how that will work with the bike unit, any ideas?

I was thinking of using the arm with the storm shield from the Vanguard Vets but don't know if it'll work out right.

You could strap the shield over the front fender of the bike, or attach on the side or on his back pack. That way it's more like he brings it with him everywhere and grabs it when he fights. I like the veteran shields, but you could also go with the big ol' termie shields for a super big effect on the front fender.

Sounds like a good idea, would look weird if he was holding a shield and a sword and driving with no hands!

I think I would use a vet shield as I normally use all my termi shields for the termi.s

Other options:

replace the bolt pistol from the company champion with your power weapon for a power weapon/storm shield on the same arm.

take a large decorative shield like from warhammer fantasy, or greyknights- and attach it either on or near the shoulderpad. Then run guitar wire to some kind of generator, like on the backpack- instant "scaled down"/artificer storm shield.
