Really man the time it took me to swap paints out of the gun took the longest. The jet was pre assembled and glued. I just spray painted the stencil layers and was done.

It is quite good stenciling I have to give you that

Those flames are honestly the sole reason i want to get an airbrush set lol. You cant freehand that. My dakkajet has freehanded flames and they look good but not.....THAT lol

Vine, just use a stencil and overlay the colors you plan on using.

I didn't think about that you could use the extra spacing to space the supa shootas out further, that looks really great! Also the paintjob is superb, that jet belongs to a true fighta ace.

You have to add the spacing for WYSIWYG in order to have the shooting look and effect. I want to work on a Stompa with this paintjob

Did you do this with the inkblot/wave kind of stencils or did you make custom ones to get your flame effect? I've got a big ork army in the works and I want to do something similar on all my vehicles, walkers, anything large enough for it to be feasible, really. Trying to get an idea of different ways to airbrush flames while I wait on the Badger paint set to get restocked somewhere.

I found a real cheap fire stencil that was with an even cheesier airbrush. The stencil was the only thing that was kept after opening the box. (So aside from the fact I wasted money). I would aline it on my models and then off set it from another flame on the stencil to strech it around the model. Hope that helps
