Some of the typical army rankings that I've seen lately are listed below. Has the new SM codex been out long enough to rank them appropriately yet?

Space marines go in tier 3.

I'd say they're trending at the top of Tier 3, maybe even lower tier 2. Bike grav lists do well against Eldar armies at the moment.

IG needs to be hiked up to the top of Tier 3.

As for SM, i'd say bottom tier 2.

I think IG would fit at the bottom of Teir 2. as would SM

Orks tier Four?! bah! Just cuz we got the oldest codex doesnt mean qe cant put up a proppa fight!

Tier lists are generally silly things, as can be shown by sisters' performance against new tau.

Tyranids are tier 3? Daemons are tier 2?

Why did I ever bother starting a CSM army if these awesome armies aren't as sucky as I was lead to believe?

I reckon SM would place higher, because if built right they have the tools to deal quite handily with the top tier forces which other factions don't have.

First four armies are great, as are bottom 2 really lacklustre currently. SM/CSM should be leading the middle pack. While in the middle everyone can defeat anyone.

I think the current IG codex is still better than C:SM or CSM.
