I'm working on making up my own chapter.
now is ok to have some marines from ther founding chapter in the new one. i want to have the first company be manly from the chapter that was used to found the new one along with say one tac squad in each company along with each company command squad. Ther going to keep ther home chapters marking and tbd rest of chapter will be a different color

A new day, a new time zone.

Those first veterans have to come from somewhere, and some chapters might feel strongly about making sure direct successors follow their lead.

"-Nonsense, the Inquisitor and his retinue are our hounoured guests, of course we should invite them to celebrate Four-armed Emperor-day with us..."

I would say this would be normal as a temporary measure while the chapter is training its first recruits.

Bolter and Chainsword have laid out a pretty good background for how chapters are found by collecting all available resources and filling in the gaps.

However, once the chapter is on its feet with its own recruits now in power armour drawn from their new home world, the veterans from the old chapter generally have two choices; stay and become a part of the new chapter as a veteran, or go back to the old one. If they stay, they take on the new colours and heraldry.

I can't imagine a chapter keeping two distinct factions in their chapter as it would only breed some sort of divisive attitudes between the guys who are leading them from another chapter, and those who are wholly trained under the new chapter.

That and the fact that over a few centuries, most of the old guys would have been killed off and replaced by the new guys anyways, and no chapter would continually hand over battle brothers to another chapter.

So really, as a temporary measure to signify their infancy, sure. As a permanent fluff aspect, I wouldn't. It has too many flaws and holes and doesn't fit with the Space Marine image well.

*Edit* And please work on your spelling/grammar/punctuation. Nothing more frustrating than words like 'ur' or simple spelling errors.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Its your chapter for you to do what you like with. While it may not be common enough to be reported on by GWs own fluff, its certainly a viable idea. The squads who were orginally from the founding chapter could be kept in the original chapter colours as a way of honouring the link, evn if the troops are all from the same chapter now.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Perfectly plausible for the first century or so of a Chapter's Founding. The vets from the Founding Chapter become the Company Captains, Chapter Master, and other leadership positions in the new Chapter, while they work on training the new Marines, eventually grooming some of them to be their replacements in the leadership of the Chapter.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.
