Dark angels- love the fluff, love the monastic feel, I enjoy terminators though I feel they are underwhelming this edition...

Imperial Fists- love the models, like the fluff, Like the how Badass Cpt. lysander is.

Ultramarines- I actually enjoy the fluff for what it is, Love the models (omg the honor guard is smexy) Like tigurius and the capt. but for some reason I don't like calgar.

Blood angels- nice color scheme, I like their fluff, love their HQs

Now, I really enjoy nice looking models and colors, but I also enjoy armies with HQs that can do "heroic" deeds, so badass HQs,

Grey Knights.

Otherwise, out of those choices, I'd pick IF.

But we all know Sallies are superior.

I do ultramarines but paint them much darker to avoid the obvious "smurf" insult. And that's cuz Calgars fluff is verging on primarch levels

Well, I'd go for Blood Angels. The DC box provides decent bitz for Assault Marines as well. Moreover, they can hope for a new codex since a large part of the codices are already updated (or announced to be updated soon).

I have narrowed it down to IF or ultras, ( as much as I love the DA fluff I want an army that is competitive and has "in game" baddass ICs)

Both make good use of the PA variations, IF probably do better with Devs.

Havent looked far into it, I do Iron Serpents (custom IH successor)

Simple as one question. Do you like to shoot alot or use all of the options? Imperial Fists can lay down some impressive fire, while Ultra Marines can use the different doctrines to acheive equavilant results using different units.

I play IF ct. I like the bolter rerolls. The Dev addition can be ugly as well, took out a monolith in one turn with a pair of Dev Las cannon while rolling not super.
