Greetings all, Father and Son 'team' here; Scott and Chris.

I played 40K many years ago from Rogue Trader, through first boxed set... started with Squats then switched to Orks when the Squats got canned... got part way into painting up my orks and was half way through painting up some Snakebite Boar riders, when GW redid the ork codex and canned the boar riders...
This pretty much did it for me, I got sick of GW constantly changing stuff, revamping and reissuing in their ever ongoing quest to make more bucks...

I stopped playing 40K and pretty much swore off GW stuff other than LOTR...

Fast forward ~20+ years and I now have a 10 year old son; Chris, who is of course now interested in the game, as his mates play, who he chats with at school, and has frequently looked over my old models...

So in the interests of spending quality time with my son, I have dug out the old figures, and over last year or so picked up bits and bobs; Black Reach set, and most recently new 6th Ed rulebook.

I figure if I am going to play it again, I want to do it right with the correct rules, and not embark on the guess work from sons friends...

So here we are... chances are we'll probably be asking several questions about the rules - clarifications etc ... so I hope you'll all be able to help, and wont mind some 'newbie' questions...

I also blog a fair bit, and a range of my hobby stuff can be found here:

Regards
Scott & Chris.
