So I just got some plastic Cadians from a friend of mine, and, since I hate the Imperium, I've decided to convert them to cultists/ traitors. Aside from a head-swap, and switching out some Lasguns for assault rifles, however, I'm not sure how to go about it. I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions? I've looked through the gallery a bit, but nothing really jumped out at me.

Give them catachan arms, it's a proven fact that not wearing sleeves makes you at least 60% more evil. Also skulls hanging from belts, various other trophies decorating weapons, cultist head swaps, and the occasional mutation. Paint them up with tattoos as well (easy way to do these: use GW's glaze paints with a super thin brush, the blue glaze on pale white skin makes for good woad markings).

I agree with Badablack. Buff arms do make for some more "evilness" or just all around baddassery. Look for Maxmini heads to swap, they have a selection of mutant, gasmasked, just random type heads. Good stuff.

I do not discriminate....all races are equally worthless....

I actually found these heads a while back, and I think I'm gonna go with them.

I like the Catachan arm ideas. Do you know if chaos Marauder shoulder pads would fit them?

Yup, and yup. Those heads are also great.

I'm sculpting Gas Masks on a unit of 50 or so Cadians i've got laying around.

I've sold so many armies. :(

Either scrape off, or deface the aquilas on the Cadian kit. You could do this physically or with your paint job. Defection to the Ruinous Powers also seems to lead to a drop in cleanliness and care of equipment so don't forget dirt and plenty of rust

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Not to blow my own trumpet, did you see mine?

The heads are from Maxmini (http://maxmini.eu/conversion-bits/head-swaps/fallen-legionnaire-heads-bits).
There's also the FW conversion bits.

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

I did see those. They're quite nice, just not what I'm looking for.
And the FW is a little out of my price range, and they don't offer a great deal in flexibility.
