So, this is probably really stupid, but I am starting a new blog. I feel like the king of not finishing anything, but oh well, we move from project to project don't we?

I already posted some of this stuff on my Ork blog, but I think that this Guard force is getting to where it needs it's own blog.

I can't get enough of IG. It was supposed to be a small PDF force that came from the planet my Marine company is currently defending, but it has grown ever since got my first tank.

Here's my Leman Russ/Hellhound group. All freaking barrels are magnetized. That took a long time but was totally worth it.

I picked up a couple of bags of old Warzone models from Prince William. I've wanted these since I first saw them 15 years ago. I really like the WWI look to them. They are not for everyone, though. They are dated, very very hard plastic with limited poses, but if you have patience you can pull off some good conversions.

Here's a box of guardsmen. I'll being showing squads later.

Got this yesterday on sale, just a cheapo tank. Really crappy quality weapons, but I didn't want them anyway. Doing a Vanquisher conversion. Want it to be like a Jagdtiger or Hetzer:

Got rid of the turret and gave it a smaller profile. It's still huge compared to a Leman Russ, but I wanted it that way so it looks more intimidating.

Anyway, thanks for looking, C&C always welcome. I'll try to keep this going.

Nice. I like the tank, and the guardsmen look promising, though I can't really see them.

Thanks. Good point on the box o' guard and not being able to see them. So since I had more time today than I thought, I took pics of the infantry.

ALL VERY WIP. Still getting the color scheme, going to be gray/blue, and a touch of bone white.

All chain guns are 'count as' autocannons.

Infantry squad:

Second Infantry Squad:

Third infantry squad:

First Weapons team:

Second Weapons team:

First Platoon Command squad:

Company Command Squad: (one trooper still needs a vox caster modeled on him.)

Veterans with shotguns, flamers, and a heavy flamer. Also a demo charge in there.

One Commissar Lord and the chain weapon guy is a standard Commissar:

So that's it so far, not a lot finished or painted, but they did well on the battle field. I'm used to orks and marines, these guys were far different but very effective.

Thanks for looking!

Cool. The infantry looks nicely converted.
Hope to see them shape up soon enough

Oh my, this one hasn't been updated in forever. I'm not a good hobbiest, too lazy I guess, I could say I am busy, but aren't we all.

Anyway, here's some updates.

Forget the color scheme, I think I am ditching the blue and doing black and gray, or black and yellow.

I picked up some Scions and love them. Used some parts with the old trenchers and love that. I am going to pick up a bunch more guard arms in the future and get rid of so many of the mono pose-iness of the army.

General and command staff

Just a Sgt and his granade trooper:

Plasmagun trooper:

Company Veterans with flamers and shotguns:

Veteran Sgt:

Another platoon Sgt:

An officer or a commisar, I haven't decided yet:

And last, two of a soon to be three man sniper group:

C&C welcome, thanks for looking.
