Which faction would you say is least developed by GW in terms of fluff and models?
Personally I'd have to say SoB

There isn't even a discussion to be had on this one any more, with Dark Eldar and Necrons getting their revamps, Black Tempars being rolled into the vanilla dex, the Adepta Soroitas as they are now called, are the least developed by a country mile. And we all know it.

/thread.

SoB. But I'm confident that they shall recieve plenty of development in due course, once the plastics are ready to go.

Also, how are the Orks as underdeveloped? They're certainly not in terms of models, they have plastics. Don't know exactly how they measure up to the SoB in terms of fluff development, though. I don't think that the Greenskins have ever lacked for fluff. But I could be wrong.

Oddly enough, if you want to count outside GW Codex, The Sisters of Battle and the Church are given quite a bit of info, especially by FFG.

Outside these codex materials Eldar Fluff is lacking by comparison. In terms of lore, fluff, and overall use in FFG/Black library (once you cut the completely lore breaking C.S goto ones) with Dark Eldar getting even less then that.

Sisters have the worst development in the model range however, but their fluff isn't that bad compared to Xenos once you factor in FFG's wonderful RPG books.

Sisters. Just about everyone else actually has a proper book and model range.

I voted space marines because Iron hands dont even have a special character.

Interesting choice...I would say that considering Space Marines let you choose which sub faction you want to play, they seem developed...unless, of course, you were joking.

On topic...either SoB or the non daemon/marine Chaos. I feel there's a fair bit about human champions of Chaos being missed out on, personally.

Voting space marines because you wanted to vote BA, combined with some of the other bad things related to being in a combined codex (IH characters etc) is kinda understandable.

Wrong, but understandable.

I collect:
Guard - 2k of mostly infantry
DA - 2k of deathwing, 2k of other bits (no vehicles)
Sisters - mostly converted/proxy because I'm waiting for therange to go plastic.
Tau - 2k with no riptides because I can.

Sisters. There is a lot that is up in the air anymore in terms of the fluff and how much of the old stuff is still valid.

Again, they got plastics and finecast. So definitely not in terms of models. But for fluff, maybe. SoB have been around for longer.

I'm of the opinion that if it isn't retconned, then it's still valid. The passage of time is not a retcon, after all.

But yeah, I'm hopeful that the (extremely imminent!) codex will expand upon or reiterate some things.

That was the point really though, it has never been addressed again making it suspect, even if it hasn't been contradicted or changed yet.

I don't see how it can't be Sisters, unless you include long gone factions like Harlequins, Exodites or Genestealer Cults.

I think a lot of people see this question as a 'who needs a Codex the most' instead of question asked. Of all the factions in the GW listed, the Dark Eldar are the least developed in overall information.

Farseer Faenyin
7,100 pts Yme-Loc Eldar(Apoc Included) / 5,700 pts (Non-Apoc)
Record for 6th Edition- Eldar: 25-4-2
Record for 7th Edition -
Eldar: 0-0-0 (Yes, I feel it is that bad)

Battlefleet Gothic: 2,750 pts of Craftworld Eldar
X-wing(Focusing on Imperials): CR90, 6 TIE Fighters, 4 TIE Interceptors, TIE Bomber, TIE Advanced, 4 X-wings, 3 A-wings, 3 B-wings, Y-wing, Z-95
Battletech: Battlion and Command Lance of 3025 Mechs(painted as 21st Rim Worlds)

Why's it suspect? We know that it only hasn't been touched upon again due to a lack of focus on the SoB, that's the main reason. If the Sisters got lots of expansive updates and the 2e stuff stayed in 2e than maybe I'd be slightly more willing to accept your view, but after 2e all they got was a shared 'dex with the Ordo Hereticus and a WD codex. Which isn't a lot.

Well, they're not really factions as far as in-game armies are concerned.

Well, it appears that SoB are the least developed these days. This might be the reason that they didn't get a new codex yet (just a semi-codex at the WD level).

I voted other, the Space Pokémon are a really underdeveloped faction.

I have a peanut allergy. It's really inconsiderate.

Before the final blow was struck, I tore open a portal in space and flung him into the Warp, where my evil is law! Now the fool seeks to return to real-space, and undo the evil that is Chaos!"

I voted other. I think the Inquisition has been super nerfed. You can't have a generic inquisitor running around with out grey knights any more. I'd collect a guard allied detachment if I could make an Inquisition primary detachment.

That's not really a "development" issue but rather a "play" issue though.

While I have never played sisters or orks, they don't seem terribly apealling. That being said, I am sorry but I really do think Necrons. "Oh lets make everything LD 10 and Fearless. Oh and everything that isn't a SM Scout in a shiny paint job will ignore armor saves and move 12 inches." They might as well be from a screenplay written by Michael Bay.
