Id drop horrors into two squads of 10 and then you are good to go

I take the blob of 20 for a few reasons:

1.) I like having the 4d6 shots, especially with their crappy BS.
2.) they're a little heartier this way and can't be thrown off of objectives as easily.
3.) If they somehow to get assaulted, they stand more of a chance, and imagine like 15 blue horrors exploding?!

What are your goals with this army as far as competition level? Personally I like a flying DP of Slaanesh as my second hq after fateweaver for the lash as some anti-air. The daemonettes and horrors are probably more optimal as plaguebearers for objective snagging.

The big thing here imo though is the seekers. With only 10, and no herald for move through cover, they are really going to struggle. Having to make dangerous terrain tests all the time really really sucks with only their invul save. Either dump them and some troops to get another dp with les s stuff our dump bloodthirster and get 10 more seekers plus a herald wroth the locus of grace.

I like this suggestion as well. There's a reason why people nowadays prefer 2x5 units as opposed to 1x10 units. Same goes for 2x10 scoring daemons as opposed to 1x20. You can go after separate targets and/or objectives. You normally only go 20 if you are expecting them to be buffed (I.e. Prescienced, Locus of Conjuration) on a normal basis. Moreover, with 1x20, if you lose even 1 guy, your offense drops to 3D6 shots only. If you lose 10 guys, it drops to 2D6. With 2x10, you could potentially lose 18 guys and still output at 4D6 (assuming neither of the units are wiped out).

However, keep the daemonettes at 20. You'll need the numbers in order for them to make it into combat and still be effective.


P.S. You also get double the chances to ground enemy FMC's.
