Subject: Best base colour for hot pink?

Hi painting experts....
I'm trying to paint some minis with a colour scheme based on the old WWF/E Hart Foundation. Currently I only have one pink paint and it's too pale for my purposes, so I'll need to buy something new that can help me achieve something similar to this:
Anybody got any good tips for how to get this sort of thing? I'm not too bothered about which paint range (as long as it's easy to source in the UK).
Thanks.

GW screamer pink could work.

White primer, white basecoat, 90% white paint/10% blood red from GW has made quite the ostentatious pink for me. Depending on what you're going for, you might need a -tiny- touch of purple in there too.

I want to avoid mixing stuff as I've got half of the stuff to paint now and won't have the next batch until next year, and I'm a bit OCD about colours matching perfectly in a particular project (which is why I tend to stay away from GW paints.... next time I need to buy some they've been replaced!).
Screamer Pink looks a bit dull on the pictures on GW's website.

You could try some pink ink over a white undercoat. I think FX do a neon pink ink.

There's a neon section in the Vallejo Model Color range. I used the orange to put neon running lights on my Dark Eldar Hellions. Goes on quite well.
The hot pink is called 'Magenta Fluo', paint code 70.735. Shouldn't be too hard to source, either.

As another idea, on white primer, using whatever pink you're using, some white or lighter pink highlights and a magenta wash will probably produce the effects you're looking for as well.

got to an art or craft store - you will find plenty of hot pinks there.
(I had to do a commission once for a pink army).
I even found several hot pink airbrush paints to make it easier.

"As for the tentacles, this is Vallejo Fluo Magenta, it's a fluorescent paint that's kinda annoying to get in the states (thanks for the hook up Will), the stuff is incredibly thin so I had to base coat the tentacles with white before adding 3-4 coats of the Magenta. It really pops though, it should be noticeable from across the room lol." - source I have this colour and it's great, though I've only used it on test models so far.

Screamer pink is more of a pastel rather than hot pink.
I'd second the use of VMC Fluo, I have the pink, and it is almost spot on the colour from the pic. The issue with those colours is they are almost impossible to highlight without bleaching the the saturation out of it. That will be a challenge, but the VMC is the way to go.
