1. I suggest keeping
dev squads 5-6 men. and designating them for ONE task, IE, missile launchers, plasma cannons. lascannons all around.
drop the power weapons from the vets and give them special weapons. (plasma guns are nice here) take a libby w/ prescience and plop him in the squad. for rerolls to hit. or take 2 and plop on with a
dev team. I figure you want competitive so no
DW army. here is an Idea I threw together.

1850 on the dot.
(well 1848 I guess) IF you have these models. you can drop the
devs down to 6 mans and grab storm shields for some of your vets. you can put Ezekiel and/or the other libby (both with prescience for twinlinked) with the vets. or one with the vets and one with the
dev teams (I recommend this as you can cast the same power twice

)
the vets play aggressive with the knights and distract the enemy from your 2 tacs you are moving up. while the
devs shoot things to death. (prescience works amazingly well with plasma cannons and guns) your only weakness here are helldrakes, which if you fight chaos most likely will be about 2. and there is not really any way to counter them :/ except be me and take mostly
DW terminators/knights haha. you can also swap the combi weapons to whatever ya want!
