What do you guys think the Minotaurs think of the Black Templars?

Would they consider them enemies for venerating the Emperor or battle brothers for being fierce crusaders? Would the two chapters work well together and boost each other's close combat prowess?

GW is scared of girls. Why do you think they have so much trouble sculpting attractive female models? Because girls have cooties and the staff at GW don't like looking at them for too long because it makes them feel funny in their naughty place.

I don't think Minotaurs would have any special antipathy or sympathy for Black Templars. The Minotaurs are a rather taciturn chapter overall, however.

I don't know that the Minotaurs have opinions past those of the High Lords of Terra. If the HLoT said 'Hey them's guys are bad mmkay' - The Minotaurs would do their best to murder the lot of them. Otherwise, they're guys out there, doing that thing we don't care about.

I tend to agree with Worms4u... they seem to have an animosity toward all imperials except for the highest authority. If the Minotaurs knew of the Black Templars possibly numbering well over 1,000 astartes (Pre-6th Edition Fluff) I am sure that would strike a cord with them.

I don't think the Minotaurs could ever hope to defeat the Black Templars, they might find out about the chapter being above strength but what are they going to do about it?

As the BT are scattered across the Galaxy, each Crusade is almost like a distinct chapter, I doubt there would be any problem worth coming to blows over.

Animosity, no. Indifference, kind of.

I believe in one of the raven guard books the minotaurs sacrificed an entire company to keep the raven guards from being obliterated. The raven guard then "returned the debt". I'd imagine this sort of thing improved the standing between the two chapters to some sort of respect.

That was the Brazen Minotaurs IIRC

The Minotaurs are a chapter of donkey-caves.

They are donkey-caves to everyone.

Whether they are outright hostile to the Black Templars is hard to discern. I think the Minotaurs are privy to a lot of intel from the High Lords, and IIRC the High Lords aren't too fond of the Black Templars due to their blatant violation of the Codex Astartes. So, they probably wouldn't care for them.

We don't really know if the Minos share the HLoT's viewpoints or just do what they're told.

They seem to be pretty dedicated to their job, this single-mindedness probably means they don't have any particular attachment or misgivings about any specific chapter other than seeing their target as prey that must be exterminated in its entirety. It explains their indifference to being stigmatized by the Ultramarines and their successors for their actions against the Inceptors as well as their sparse communications with their allies during the Badab War; their objective is the end goal regardless of all the frills and politicking intrinsic within the Imperium.
